The CC Cash team has put together a list of frequently asked questions below. If you need additional information, please contact us. We're here to help!

Q. What does my organization have to purchase in order to participate?

A. Absolutely nothing! CC Cash provides all the collection and marketing materials you'll need to run a successful recycling fundraiser for FREE! CC Cash also provides pre-paid return shipping for collection boxes and additional pre-paid return labels for larger items like toner cartridges for laser printers, fax machines, copiers, multi-functional peripherals, laptops and game systems.

Q. Who can participate?

A. All types of civic organizations and nonprofit groups including schools, churches, synagogues, athletic teams, scouts, and more...

Q. We want to start a recycling fundraiser. What do we do first?

A. Call the toll-free CC Cash hotline at 866 416-9319 or fill out the online form. A CC Cash team member will contact you to follow up and get you started right away.

Q. When can we expect to receive our CC Cash materials?

A. Once we have your information, we will ship your CC Cash Starter Kit within 48 hours. If you are west of the Mississippi, please allow extra time for delivery.

Q. Do we have to sort our collection?

A. No. CC Cash does all the sorting for you. Just make sure ink cartridges are collected separately from all item items because the ink can get on the other items and render them worthless. For detailed shipping instructions, please click here.

Q. How long will it take to receive payment?

A. CC Cash will sort, inspect and classify each shipment. Payments must reach a $25 minimum before a check is cut. Once this minimum has been met CC Cash will then issue a check to your organization within 30 business days after your collection is inspected. If the $25 minimum is not reached by the end of the calendar year, that money will become unpayable.

Q. Is there any quota to meet or any contract to sign?

A. No. There is no quota, no obligation and no contract to sign. However, the more you collect, the more you can earn! Since CC Cash is an ongoing fundraiser, you can participate in the CC Cash program as long as you like.

Q. What do we do when a collection box is full?

A. Place newspaper or any other lightweight filler on the top of the contents so items inside won't shift during shipping. Then, if you are using a CC Cash collection box, fold the top down and tape the bottom and top securely. Instructions for folding the box are located on the side of the box itself. If you are using one of your own boxes, please tape it securly shut. When your collection box is full, drop it off at your nearest UPS store. For larger shipments, of 100 cartridges of more, contact CC Cash at 866-416-9319 to discuss special arrangements. For detailed shipping instructions, please click here.

Q. What do I do with toner cartridges, laptops, game systems or other larger items?
They are too large to fit into a collection box.

A. Pack collected items in any sturdy box you have. Make sure to add newspaper or other lightweight material to the top of the box so contents won't damage during shipping. Tape the box securely. Apply a CC Cash pre-paid return shipping label and drop it off at your nearest UPS store. For larger shipments, of 100 cartridges of more, contact CC Cash at 866-416-9319 to discuss special arrangements. For detailed shipping instructions, please click here.

Q. Why is there a collection box for cell phones and a separate box for cartridges?

A. Ink cartridges have a tendency to leak. If you mix cell phones with ink cartridges, the ink can transfer onto the cell phones, which renders them worthless. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP INK CARTRIDGES SEPARATE FORM OTHER ITEMS so you can receive the maximum value for your collection. For detailed shipping instructions, please click here.

Q. How much money will our organization get for cartridges and cell phones?

A. Each brand and model vary in value. And, that value is subject to change. Some toner cartridges are worth up to $10 and some cell phones are worth up to $63! Check out our BUY-BACK LISTS for the latest, most up-to-date prices on accepted items.

CC Cash will pay your organization the value of your items based on the buy-back price list on the day your items are received at the CC Cash Recycling Center.

Q. What if I don't see a cartridge brand or model on your buy-back list?

A. CC Cash will only pay you for ink and toner cartridges that are listed on our current buy-back list. Some cartridges have no value.

Q: What cartridges do you accept?

A. CC Cash accepts inkjet and toner cartridges for most printers, copiers, fax machines and multi-functional peripherals (all-in-ones). Check out our current buy-back lists for accepted items. If a cartridge does NOT appear on our buy-back list, then it has no value and should be disposed of properly.

Q: What cell phones do you accept?

A. CC Cash accepts cell phones of various makes, models and conditions including new, used, refurbished and obsolete cell phones. Check out our current buy-back lists for accepted items. If a cell phone does not appear on our buy-back list, it may STILL may be of value. Contact your CC Cash representative before sending the item. CC Cash will pay your organization the value of your items based on the day your items are received at the CC Cash Recycling Center.

Q. Do you accept cell phone accessories?

A. No. They have no cash value. Please dispose of properly.

Q. Why can't CC Cash accept ALL my recycling items?

A. Certain used printer cartridges and cell phones that are in demand get resold and remanufactured, which help eliminate over-stuffed landfills. CC Cash can only accept those in-demand items that are on our lists. Even though some items may fall off our lists as that demand decreases, many NEW items are also added as demand for them increases. And, new items often have more value, which means more money for your group! As much as we would love to pay you for everything, that's why CC Cash cannot redeem every single cartridge from your organization.

Q. How do I prepare a cell phone for recycling?

A. First, TERMINATE THE CELLULAR SERVICE on your phone with your wireless provider. Then, clear the memory of contacts and other stored information on the phone. Lastly, remove the SIM card, if your phone has one. Phones with GSM networks use SIM Cards. If you are unsure if your phone has a SIM card or if you need help removing your SIM card, contact your wireless provider. CC Cash will also make sure all data is cleared from cell phones before recycling. For detailed shipping instructions, please click here.
